About Me

Hi, I’m Mary Linker, a sports and portrait photographer based in Arlington Heights and Monmouth, IL

I started attending Monmouth College as a Communications and Marketing double major with a focus in sports media. I am actively participating as a photographer in the Sports Information Office and for the Monmouth newspaper, The Courier. In high school, I served as the multimedia photography director, yearbook editor-in-chief, and completed 200+ hours of media internships.

On top of that, I am also a Division 3 softball player, which completely shapes how I shoot. I understand the pace of the game, the key moments, and what athletes want to see in their photos because I’ve been in those same situations.

For me, photography started as a way to help my friends who couldn’t afford it get photos of themselves and grew into a passion for capturing all the meaningful moments in life.
